Organisation of photo shoot.

Before I took my photos I went around looking for different locations around Lowestoft. I mainly targeted woods and churches I believe they would give the desired affect. I finally found my perfect location by chance. I knew that there was an old church and grave yard down the bottom of Sands Lane but on the way I came across a wood which was ideal for taking my photos. Because I wanted an eery effect on my front cover, I decided to take my photos at sunset. This is because if they were taken during the day, there wouldn't be an erry feeling to it but, if i took my pictures at night, I wouldn't get clear photographs as it would to dark to see anything.
I chose to use a black, female as my model as after doing research I never came across black screamers and it was very rare to find female screamers. As my magazine is about new, upcoming artists, I thought 'what could be newer than a black, female screamer?'
My magazines target audience are very grungy and enjoys violence here to there. Plus the issue of my magazine is the halloween issue. Bearing these in mind I went out and bought some fake blood and dark purple and grey make-up. This is so I could get the desired effect to pull my audience in more.
